Where’s the meaning
in the message?
Look how the words bend
back and touch themselves;
or break; two dancers
parting in space and here
the message ends
‘I lobe you.’
I’m not talking about
free spelling, I mean
doomed reading. Like
cutting open a fig, your typeo
splits my reality down the middle
and because being
follows knowing
I eat the blackred flesh
and throw away the skin.
Well meaning, we stumble
at the slip of a thumb,
bring the curtains down
with us, and there,
on the stage,
the pas de deux begins.
