Amir Darwish is a British/Syrian poet of Kurdish origin. He arrived in the UK as an asylum seeker. Darwish completed a BA in history at Teesside University and is currently a postgraduate student at Durham University’s School of Government & International Affairs. His poetry has been published in the UK, USA, Pakistan, Finland, Morocco and Mexico and his work has been translated into Arabic, Finnish and Italian.
