I have learned to consider
the whiteness of a room
the solidity of an absence
the rush of withdrawal
and the science of getting through.
I am a faultline ripped.
all diagnoses aside, there is just my name,
certificate-d as fact. the plastic is getting dirty,
and i need to renew my nice, healthy
amerikan passport.
we can laugh
but stain is as stain does,
and your white stains
will not wash off.
